Good Life’ is the third album from SALOMEA, and behind its seemingly dreamy and naïve title, lies an album of dark and light, skilfully transforming pain into art with refreshing honesty as it weaves together stories of hope, pain, gratitude and vulnerability, written by the band’s mercurial frontwoman and songwriter Rebekka Salomea, …against the backdrop of spoken word, hip hop infused jazz and trappy electronica. ‘Good Life’ is a crucible where Rebekka burns and transforms, through the alchemy of sound, the album is a journey, a body of work to inspire healing, resistance, love and gratitude. By calling for listening to one's own inner child, gut instincts, cultural identity and the stories surrounding us, Rebekka claims space for joy and simplicity and her authentic self. Drawing on a life’s journey, of a diaspora displaced and separated, mourning the loss of a mother and finding solace in connection, truth and kindness, SALOMEA offers up ‘Good Life’ as a place, sound and feeling of belonging and ultimately freedom.

This remarkable band effortlessly melds a spectacular combination of individual musical influences, from raw 2000s R&B and hip-hop vibes to neo-soul and futuristic, contemporary jazz-break-noise-electronic sonic aesthetics.
